Manifesto: Grace Shaped

Many things in life have shaped us into who we are today. "Grace Shaped" is one of our values at Venture and it simply means instead of being defined by our past, we are defined by God's grace. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us to have life to the full and it comes with a sense of peace that says you are not who you were anymore, but who you are in Christ. 

Manifesto: God Chasing

It's always good to have a reminder of vision. A time set aside to recalculate and remember why we are doing what we are doing. Through this series "Manifesto" we are doing just that. We are taking three weeks to look at our core values and share the vision of why does Venture Church exist among many other churches in Wilmington.

Walk The Walk: Self Control

In our last week of "Walk The Walk," we talk about the last of the nine fruit of the Spirit, self-control. It is a part of life in general that is challenging especially for the culture we live in where we can get what we want as fast as we want. Jesus' example and teaching pose a much better way to live with self-control and walking in His Spirit. It's simple, but it's not easy. It is worth every bit of self-control needed. 

Walk The Walk: Faithfulness

Walk The Walk: Stay In The Vine

Jesus calls himself the vine and the Church his branches. This theme coincides with Walk the Walk because as we need to keep in step with the Spirit of God, likewise we need to stay in the vine. Walk The Walk: Who Is The Holy Spirit?

As you continue to "Walk the Walk" or find your footing too, here is a teaching that is pertinent to your faith and foundation of who God is to His people. The Holy Spirit is the lifeblood of Christians in our day to day lives. As we continue in the fruit of the Spirit, we talk about the fourth part of the fruit which is patience. We all have experienced patience or a lack of it in stressful times. Being a fruit of God's Spirit, patience is something we need the Lord's help with. If you need patience or a boost of faith, tune in this week to discover patience through faith in Christ.

Walk The Walk: Peace

This week we have a fantastic guest speaker teach this morning. Patrick has spoken many times at Venture and his placement for this Sunday couldn't have been more perfect. He brings a fresh perspective on peace and reveals truths about what God's word says about what it is and how to achieve it through Jesus.
