Many times in our faith we get blide sided by testing situations, but Peter gives us forewarning of these moments. The Gospel does not align with American culture in many ways. As Christians we are called to be holy, set apart, for God's purpose. Sometimes it can be a struggle to live for the Lord, but most of the time we just lose sight or don't know why it is even important to. This week we kick off a new series through the book of 1st Peter. With recent events that have happened in the world it is easy to allow thoughts that disprove God's faithfulness arise. Throughout scripture there are even worse events than we've seen in our time in the world but God is always good and forever faithful. At The Movies: The Hunger Games

Capping off this "At The Movies" series we end with an epic movie filled with courage. Fear has the potential to rule us if we let it. Most of the time we don't even realize that it has influence in our lives. This is a series ender you don't want to miss. 

At The Movies: The Chronicles Of Narnia

Whether you've seen the couple of movies or had the pleasure to read the books, The Chronicles Of Narnia is one epic series! This Sunday we use just the first movie, The Lion The Witch And The Wardrobe, as a launching point to get into the Bible. The writer, C.S. Lewis, purposefully wrote this story to correlate with Christianity. The parallels found in this series are a great way to teach about the sacrifice that Jesus gave to all mankind. 

Special Guest: Brian Paris

This week we have a special guest from Papua New Guinea, Brian Paris. He serves with Pioneer Bible Translators, an organization that strives to translate the Bible into languages that don't have readable versions yet. He shares several breathtaking stories and challenges with our Church that we would love for you to be challenged and encouraged by. Tune in this week to hear about the amazing things God is doing in Papua New Guinea. 

At The Movies: Harry Potter

Harry Potter is nothing without his friends. Yes he's very natural when it comes to learning spells and enchantments, but his friends are part of the victory at the end of the series along with Harry. There are similarities between the community found in this series and also the community found in the Bible. Tune in this week to learn some very important principles about community and why we need each other.
