Battleground: Made Alive

Every week during "Battleground" we have been going through the book of Ephesians. Ephesians is a letter from the apostle Paul to the church in Ephesus. This week we dive into the second chapter of this powerful book learning about an important history on Ephesus and also important meaning of this whole letter. Chapter 2 has a heaping amount of biblical truth in it that is a wonderful message to listen to. We hope you enjoy hearing about the grace of God and how freely He gives. 

Battleground: Identity Theft

Identity theft is not a pretty sight. If you've ever been a victim or know someone who has been through reclaiming their "identity" it's a strenuous process. During this series we talk about a "battleground" or this constant daily walk of life and there are moments that we don't know who we are. This Sunday we learn about our Identity in God and how it is not achieved but received. God loved us before we even had a chance to offer him anything in return. He created us in His image and this week we learn about our true Identity in God.

You want the truth about the church? You want to know why Christianity is exponentially growing? It's been 2000 years since the first gatherings of "Christians" spreading the good news that God has come down in love to bring us eternal life. This news is commonly called "The Gospel." This week we dive into the beginning principles of "The Church." All about where the church came from, why it matters, and how it can completely change our life. What a great ending to Rethink Social.

Work can be dominating at times. While we are growing up our lives are focused to mold us into workers. Sometimes life takes us a different route but either way work can be dominating. In this series we are looking at important topics to return to the principles and foundation of how God designed them. As we continue in life different personalities, societies, and events shape our way of thinking. Growing up in this world we live in it is easy to see we don't have it all together. Even though we don't have life figured out we can rethink some major topics that impact everyone around us. Today we talk about our marriages. Whether you're married or not this Sunday is still filled with vital truth of how we should love one another and how important it is to abide by what God says. Rethink Social: Transformed Relationships

Rethink it. Absolutely serious. As life continues on when we hear social we think that media is soon to come right after it. That's not the case with this series. Although, some talk will be had about social media because of its grip on society, we will mostly be focusing on the plan that God has for our lives socially outside of the media world and into the deep roots of the clockwork. This includes this first week in which we dive into the foundation of interpersonal relationships. Why do we need to know God's plan for our social life? We were created to be in community. This Sunday, Chris elaborates on healthy ways to grow towards God and towards others. 

Throwback: Wax On Wax Off Disciplines

"Wax on, wax off." That phrase, coined from the 80's movie "Karate Kid," is a constant classic even in society today. Every week in this series "Throwback" we have used classic 80's movies as a launching pad into the Bible. This week at Venture we talk about the "wax on, wax offs" of Christianity, spiritual disciplines. Like any time in life discipline is tough. Whether giving it, receiving it, or disciplining yourself it takes time, effort and a truck load of patience. Good thing we have a God who loves unconditionally and is full of grace. Tune in to this week's message for a great approach to starting or keeping the gears turning towards Jesus Christ. 

Throwback: The Adventure Of Life

During this week of Throwback, we use "The Goonies" as a platform to talk about our goals on our adventure in life. There are all kinds of different obstacles in life and at times we may get discouraged if we aren't able to cross them with flying colors but the goal of Christianity is not to be the best. It's not to be first. It's not to win. The bible talks about how trials will come but to remember that we are all a part of the BODY of Christ and we are in this together. The goal is to love.
