Art Of Love: Salt & Light

With only three primary colors in art there have been some magnificent paintings we have seen in life. Artist have an breathtaking gift of taking those colors combining them to create masterpieces that are historical to this world. From looking in the Bible we can find that there is an art to love. There are primary components to love that if you only have one component you aren't loving to the full potential as if a painter only had one primary color to paint with. There's only one way to end a series that is about cultivating a vibrant life in God. That way is talking about the only way to true life. Sometimes we try to fit God in a box and make Him work for us but we have to be transformed in that thinking to the way God created us to be. Part of thriving and not just surviving comes down to the source of life. Comes back to where our nourishment comes from. One would say to be healthy you need to start eating healthy. Get a good diet and lay off the potato chips and sweets. Where does your nourishment for your mind and soul come from? C.S. Lewis once said “If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.” If we were made for another world, if God truly did create us then, we should be connected to Him and His source. This week Patrick talks about getting back to that connection or maybe making the first connection if it has never been made.

Empie Park: Jesus Is Greater

What happens when you get to the YMCA and find out that it caught fire the night before? You send out mass messages and move to Empie Park! The YMCA had a tragic accident happen to their facilities. No one was hurt in the situation. If you want more information check out the Wilmington News article about it. As soon as we get word of a way we can "be The Church" to the YMCA we will send it out. With the sudden change of plans we went with the flow and still met with beautiful weather at Empie Park. Chris brought three points that were much needed reminders and eye openers. Check it out!
